The purpose of this webinar is to learn about the concept of work accidents, as well as the different responsibilities that arise for companies, mutual societies and employees when they occur. It is essential for companies to manage this contingency properly, avoiding possible fines, incidents in contributions and other liabilities.

The purpose of this webinar series is to outline the legal definition of a work-related accident. It consists of 4 parts:

  • Concept of Work-related Accident: General regime: The legal definition of a work-related accident will be addressed by analysing its configuring elements based on the different legal rulings passed on the matter.
  • Concept of Work-related Accident: Special Social Security Regime for the Self-Employed (RETA) and other cases: Concept of AT for the self-employed, injuries sustained due to union work, injuries resulting from the work of different professional groups, and rescue actions.
  • Work accident in itinere and on assignment: Concept of in itinere work-related accident and its configuring, teleological, chronological, geographical and modal elements. On-mission work-related accident.
  • Occupational and intercurrent diseases: inclusions and exclusions: This fourth and final session will analyze occupational diseases, accidents resulting from the aggravation of pre-existing conditions, and intercurrent illnesses.

Irregular situations such as lack of registration, contributions or under-payments may give rise to significant liabilities in terms of temporary incapacity, death or survival benefits, as well as penalties for non-compliant companies. To analyse these situations, FREMAP is organizing this webinar, which takes a technical and practical look at with the rights and obligations established by our legal system in the area of social security, and which are very important to know in order to comply with current regulations.

The webinar series on Temporary Disability Management analyses different situations of temporary disability and their characteristics. To learn about the legal terms applicable in the different situations of temporary disability and how to proceed in each case in order to fully comply with applicable legislation.

It consists of 4 parts:

  • Relapses: Concept and definition of relapse. The different situations that may occur during a relapse process are studied in depth.
  • Multi-activity and Multi-employment: This second part will focus on situations of multi-activity and multi-employment.
  • Challenges, registrations and resolution types: The third part of the series focuses on the different types of resolution that may occur, as well as challenges to this and its effects.
  • Absenteeism management: Absenteeism from work can be defined as: "Absenteeism is the absence of a person in his/her workplace in hours that correspond to a working day, within the legal working day." This fourth webinar addresses the key aspects of managing temporary disability, causes and solutions.

Contributing and paying correctly in order to avoid incidents in delegated payment, surcharges and penalties are also topics covered by this webinar series, which takes an in-depth look at the different cases of regulatory bases through case studies.

  • Calculation of Regulatory Bases, Theory: This first session of the webinar series explains the general theory for calculating the regulatory base, regulations, and basic interactive practical cases.
  • Calculation of Regulatory Bases in Full-Time Contracts: The second session explores the theory, special features and more complex cases of the calculation of regulatory bases in full-time contracts.
  • Calculation of Regulatory Bases in Part-Time and Fixed-Term Intermittent Contracts: This session takes a closer look at the theory of calculating the bases in part-time and discontinuous contracts. There are interactive case studies on the calculation of regulatory bases in part-time and permanent seasonal contracts.
  • Calculation of Regulatory Bases in Special Cases: Case studies on the calculation of regulatory bases in special situations.

The Special Sea Regime is one of the 4 large groups of the social security system and has more than 60,000 affiliated workers according to the latest verified data. With this webinar, FREMAP aims to deeper examine this special regime, not only in terms of classification and contribution, but also the specifications it is subject to, such as healthcare, temporary disability, etc.
