The training of technicians in metrology and industrial quality is developed between the quality classroom and the Dimensional Metrology Laboratory of FREMAP, accredited by ENAC (National Accreditation Entity). The latter offers a real work environment to students and fosters relationships with industry collaborators and clients for their reintegration into the workforce.

Objective

  • Interpreting industrial plans.
  • Skillfully operate the most common measuring equipment in the industry.
  • Calibrate basic measuring equipment.
  • Learn the requirements of a quality management system.

Content

  • Drawing and interpretation of plans. SolidWorks Basic Level.
  • Dimensional metrology: to know, operate and calibrate measuring equipment such as: caliper, micrometer, comparator, profile projector, vertical and horizontal coordinate measuring machine, longitudinal gauge blocks, goniometers, measuring arm, etc.
  • Quality management: standards UNE EN ISO 9001 and UNE EN ISO 17025.
  • Hospital metrology: thermometer calibration.
  • Materials and finished product testing.

Professional departures

  • Quality control technician for raw materials and finished products.
  • Parts checker.
  • Calibration or testing technician.
  • Quality management system technician according to ISO 9001 standard.
  • Technician in measurement with advanced equipment: measuring arm, vision machines and three-coordinate machine.
  • Verifier in legal metrology (gas station pumps, supermarket scales, parcel delivery, etc.).
