FREMAP receives the Bequal PLUS 60 Seal for its commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities

FREMAP Mutual Collaborator with Social Security No. 61, has renewed its Bequal PLUS60 seal in recognition of its firm commitment to people with disabilities. This distinction highlights the organisation’s involvement and its commitment to inclusion, in line with the indicators of the Bequal model, promoted by the organised disability sector.

FREMAP, which first obtained this certification in 2015, received the seal from José Antonio Martín, Managing Director of the Bequal Foundation, at an event held at the Institution’s headquarters in Majadahonda.

Those attending the event included Juan Manuel López Martín, Service Director and Deputy Managing Director; Rosa Jiménez Ponce, Director of Personnel Administration and CSR; and Alfonso Fernández Sánchez, Head of CSR at FREMAP. Attending on behalf of the Bequal Foundation were José Antonio Martín Rodríguez, Managing Director, and Azucena García Calvo, Director of Corporate Development.

During his speech, José Antonio Martín emphasized that “FREMAP has demonstrated a strong commitment to people with disabilities, which is reflected in its continuous improvement strategy and its promotion of equal opportunities and non-discrimination.“,” he noted. He also highlighted the policies developed by the Institution to promote the employability of this group. “Accessibility is another of FREMAP's strengths, where significant progress has been made,” he added. He also highlighted the mutual insurance company's progress in incorporating measures to ensure more inclusive and tailored care, as well as in raising internal awareness to strengthen a corporate culture fully committed to diversity."

For his part, Juan Manuel López, in his speech, emphasized that “The Bequal seal certifies our commitment to inclusion, recognizing FREMAP as a socially responsible organization. Incorporating it into our processes has ensured accessible and universal solutions, aligned with best practices.

The certification promotes a more diverse organisational culture, boosting creativity and continuous improvement. Standing with Bequal means leading with social responsibility, integrating diversity and sustainability into every project.

The Bequal Certificate

The Bequal certificate is an independent assessment model that measures the degree of organisations’ commitment in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility and Disability. It assesses areas such as strategy, leadership, people management, regulatory compliance, universal accessibility and inclusive policies across all internal processes.

Organisations certified with the PLUS60 Seal demonstrate ongoing work in implementing inclusive measures and actively contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth) and SDG 10 (reduced inequalities)
