Healthcare is generally provided by the Mutual Insurance Company collaborating with the Social Security system with which the company has arranged coverage for occupational contingencies.

The right to healthcare arises from the very moment of the work accident or the diagnosis of the occupational disease.

A work accident is understood to be any bodily injury suffered by a worker as a result of or in connection with work performed on behalf of another.

Healthcare includes:

  • Clinical diagnosis and complementary tests.
  • Medical and/or surgical treatment.
  • Intensive rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
  • Continuous medical monitoring and guided return to work.
  • Issuance of sick leave certificates, confirmation and medical discharge.
  • Certificates of attendance without leave when applicable.

Occupational Disease (OD) is that pathology contracted as a direct consequence of work performed for others and caused by the action of elements, substances or factors that appear in the official table approved by current regulations.

The management of Occupational Disease at FREMAP is characterized by a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach, which includes:

  • Diagnosis by specialized units.
  • Issuance of medical certificate of sick leave due to Occupational Disease.
  • Clinical follow-up and specific tests.
