MOMS IN ACTION
#NotOneChildAlone – Curasana Project - Moms in Action
The Curasana project, initiated in 2013 and present in different parts of the national territory: Valencia, Madrid, Murcia, Barcelona, Castellón, Sevilla, Huelva, Zaragoza, Alicante, Vizcaya, Palma de Mallorca and Pamplona, is dedicated to accompanying children from 0 to 18 years old in the hospital during their convalescence, doing the same as a father or mother in the next room would do, giving them affection and company. More than 51,000 children in Spain are in a situation of abandonment, either because they do not have parents or because they cannot live with them. Moms in Action is a community of volunteers, who work shifts 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, accompanying and giving love to children who, in addition to being sick, are alone.
The project's objective is to address emotional needs, collaborate with the social agents involved, and ensure that no child in care is alone in the hospital. Without this organization, many of these children would not have emotional support or adult assistance during their recovery.
FREMAP's Social Action has its most practical implementation through solidarity campaigns. Through these, actions can be carried out, as a volunteer, aimed at the progress and improvement of both their environment and developing countries.
